There is nothing that annoys me more than people that try to make a fuss out of nothing.

Today on Twitter, Aladdin, was trending. Turns out everyone was upset that it’s taking Disney a little longer to cast the dashing lead for the live action version of a beloved animated film.

As I scrolled through Twitter I noticed a common argument, “It shouldn’t be that hard to pick an actor from the middle-east who can sing and dance.” Then they proceed to list the same three actors…over and over again.

Now don’t get me wrong. I am a HUGE fan of the 3 actors, I love their work, and I believe they deserve all the success they’ve received.

BUT wouldn’t you like to see a fresh faced actor? I know I would. I would like Disney to give a chance to an unknown actor. Someone who is a hidden gem..kinda like Aladdin.

BUT most importantly an actor that can embody Aladdin.

Since Aladdin is a very well (like I mentioned above) beloved film I don’t mind Disney taking their time when choosing an actor.

I would hate to think Disney chose Emma Watson to play Belle just because she looked like Belle. NO. I would think Disney chose Emma because she was able to portray who Belle is and even give more depth to the character.

So bottom line don’t rush Disney to pick an actor YOU think should play Aladdin. None of us know the script so who are we to argue who Disney should pick?

Sorry, I had to rant a little.

Worse case scenario Disney can always choose their Broadway cast cause they’re the best 😉 Sorry, I just think this cast deserves a lot more recognition and I wanted to mention them somewhere on my blog.

Anyway I hope everyone has a great week and keep loving Disney!
